A total of 12 participants represented Kerala in the 23rd National Para Swimming Championship held in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh. Mohammad Asim won three gold medals. The gold medals were won in the 50m freestyle, 100m freestyle and 50m backstroke. Jeeva Siva won the silver medal in the 50m freestyle category. As the manager of the Kerala team, Fr. Solomon Kadambattuparambil CMI and Sandhya as assistant manager accompanied the athletes. She was trained at the Jasno Edu Sports Centre and the Sports Council Aquatic Centre. Sreeja ma'am has been training sportspersons.
